Syawalan tradition or a week after Idul Fitri in Pekalongan is very unique. One tradition of the famous to the outside area is a tradition lopisan or krapyakan. Lopis cutting was first performed in 1965 by father Rohmat who is head of the local area. Lopis is a food made of glutinous rice which has a strong adhesion when it is boiled and cooked.
